With the adoption of the new Audiovisual Media Services Law, the Agency for Electronic Media has become the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services.

Article 195 of the Law states that the Agency will continue to operate as the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services. The Agency for Audiovisual Media Services will assume the employees, rights and obligations, assets, equipment and premises of the Agency for Electronic Media.

The Agency for Audiovisual Media Services will continue to carry out its responsibilities impartially and transparently in order to achieve freedom of expression, media pluralism, cultural and linguistic diversity, consumer protection, content accessibility, non-discrimination, proper functioning of the internal market and the promotion of competition.
